Campground Rules

These rules have been constructed for the enjoyment of all our guests. Courteous camping practices and consideration for your camping neighbor will help make your experience at Door County Camping Retreat a pleasurable one.

  1. Observe our Speed Limit of 5 mph throughout the entire campground. Drive carefully and watch for children.
  2. Quiet hours are 10:00pm to 8:00am. The curfew for children is 10:00pm, children are to be on their site at 10:00pm
  3. No loud playing of Radios, TVs or stereos and all must be off at 10:00pm. Campfires must be out at midnight. Please be courteous and respect you neighbors. We patrol the grounds on a regular basis. Only one warning will be given and if the noise doesn’t stop we will ask you to leave without a refund.

  4. Only registered campers and registered guest are allowed in the campground. You are responsible for your guests, and insuring that they have registered at the office. Visitor fees are doubled for persons found in the campground that have not registered.
  5. Check in and out time is noon. There will be a $1.00 per hour fee for early arrivals and late departures.
  6. We feel your pet is part of your family and is welcome as such, however, they must be leashed and supervised at all times. Please clean up after your pet and do not tie to any water or electrical pipes. Pets are not allowed in any buildings, playground, pool or store areas.
  7. Enjoy our swimming pool from 10:00am to dusk. Our pool is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. No floatation devices allowed. Wisconsin health rules state that food, drinks, candy, gum, glass containers and tobacco are not allowed in the pool area.
  8. Positively no cutting of trees, fallen, dead or alive. No driving of nails into the trees . No scavenging of firewood from grounds. We sell firewood at the store. Cutting of trees will result in a $50.00 fine and eviction .
  9. Do not Move Fire Rings. Fires are allowed in fire rings supplied at each site. Please extinguish your campfire when you leave your site or when you retire for the night. Do not put cans, aluminum, Styrofoam or other non-flammable items in fire ring. Please keep your site clean and orderly.
  10. Drunkenness and/or Profanity will not be tolerated. Those offending will be evicted without a refund.
  11. Fireworks and/or Firearms are not permitted. This includes pellet and BB guns. Any harm caused to animals or humans will result in eviction without a refund and a call to the Sheriff’s Department.
  12. Laws require us to Recycle. Aluminum, tin, glass and #1 and #2 bottles. Please check with the office how to properly dispose of refuse. Garbage bags are provided when you register. Do not leave garbage bags at the site .If you need additional bags please ask for them at the office.
  13. Please use our Bathrooms and Showers as you would your own. Accompany and stay with children when using rest rooms. Cleaning times and alternate facilities to use are posted at all bathroom facilities.
  14. Drive Motorcycles, Mini Bikes, Mopeds. Electric Scooters and Golf Carts to and from you site only. No riding for fun throughout the camp or on the nature trails.  Gas Golf cars are prohibited
  15. Have a member of your party assist you in Backing into your site. Damage to your vehicle could result from backing into a water or electrical hook-up. If you need assistance, please inform the office and we will be more than happy to assist you.
  16. Pumpouts and day visitors are subject to an additional charge. No Buglites allowed.
  17. All wheeled vehicles must be parked on gravel portion of sites.  No parking on roadway, grass or in forest
  18. In accordance with DNR request, NO FIREWOOD MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE CAMPGROUND.  Please leave your firewood a hoome.

Your camping privileges may be revoked for violation of these rules. We reserve the right to refuse service upon our judgement. Eviction from this campground will be without refund.

Camping is an outdoor experience; therefore, we do not give refunds due to the discomforts of nature. We hope your stay at Door County Camping Retreat will be a pleasant one.
